In September 2024 Alma Fonda Fina was awarded one star by the MICHELIN Guide, a major marker of culinary excellence. According to Westword, it’s the only restaurant among Colorado’s Michelin-starred list that does not rely on a tasting-menu format, preserving an à-la-carte model in its cozy 34-seat space. I went for my birthday dinner, which happened to be in October of 2024 — what incredible timing!

The Highlands in Denver contain a number of charming restaurants, boutiques and cocktail bars. Consider strolling around the neighborhood before or after dinner to keep the night going! This is considered one of the most affordable Michelin-recognized restaurants in the US, which makes it an amazing excuse to dress up for the night without breaking the bank. Service, food and atmosphere are 10/10 and I would highly recommend.
